Welcome!
My name is Tom Mihok and this website supports my Resume Optimization, career services and teaching activities. I have taught as an adjunct professor every year for over ten years, most years multiple classes, at three universities. The Resume Optimization and career services strategies grew out of the courses I teach, in particular the chapter on career planning in the Personal Finance course, and my personal experience.
Over the years, students’ enthusiastic comments accumulated about the professional success they had achieved using the strategies they’d engaged with and learned. I began advising some professionals and others who asked.
From those experiences I decided to make available in one place material supporting these career and teaching activities.
Resume Optimization
GET NOTICED
Resumes are one of the most important resources relied upon by hiring organization leaders but most candidates are limiting their opportunity for success.
Is your resume not getting you interviews or interest? Have you had advice from headhunters or your career center and now you have a well organized resume yet it’s still not getting attention? Are people with less talent than you getting the call backs and interviews you should be getting?
Use our Resume Optimization services to be sure it’s your resume that gets pulled from the pile. Get noticed the first time your resume is looked at—in the first few seconds! Have your talent and effort be rewarded.
Get the job, interview, grad school acceptance—get the opportunity—you’ve always wanted.
Don’t be overlooked any longer. Click on “Learn More” above or Resume Optimization on the navigation bar at the top of this page to learn more or schedule a time to talk.

You can find materials supporting your course at Current Courses in the navigation bar at the top. I add material to this section regularly and as I get better at using the website software. This section will continue to improve over time.
